Mercado Bitcoin, the largest exchange in Brazil and Latin America, has over 3.8 million customers, 300+ listed assets, and a USD 15 billion trading volume since 2013. It's a leader in Brazil for tokenization and Real-World Assets (RWAs), holding the world's largest BRL volume. Recently, it introduced crypto-crypto pairs, aiming to add more in 2024, impacting trading significantly. MBRL, its stablecoin, is backed by Brazil's fiat currency, the Real, and operates on Stellar, Avalanche, and Ethereum networks. Mercado Bitcoin collaborates with the Central Bank of Brazil on developing DREX (CBDC).
