Steven Haft was SVP Innovation at TIME, SVP Strategy at AOL’s $1.2B Ad Sales, produced films DEAD POETS SOCIETY, EMMA,PIRATES OF SILICON VALLEY, HOCUS POCUS and TIGERLAND. He is a Fellow at HBS Prof Clay Cristensen's Disruptor Foundation, Observer at the UN Paris Accords (COP24-28), long time Climate activist, and a leading figure in media, digital innovation, Web3 and ESG.
He currently manages music-tech and climate initiatives at CONSENSYS Software ($7.2B Blockchain Company); as well as serving as the CoFounder of the Ethereum Climate Platform- announced at COP27 in Egypt 2022.
An attorney, Haft has lectured at Columbia University, NYU, Beijing Film Academy, CES, UN Climate COP, DLD, WEF, Ethcc, Paris Blockchain Week, and Sundance.
Prior to working in technology, Steven ran Haft Entertainment, generating 8 Academy Award nominations; BAFTA, Cesar, Donatello and, for television, 8 Emmy nominations and the Peabody.
Steven Haft started in public policy on the staff of The Mayor of New York. He was member of the Founding Team of Earth Day.
Haft is a Member of US and UK Motion Picture Academies and Trustee (Emeritus) of The Sundance Institute and formerly the Soros Documentary Fund Board. Beginning 2023 he joined the Global Blockchain Business Council as Ambassador for Climate.
