Shahar Madar is VP of Security & Trust Products at Fireblocks, an enterprise platform to manage digital asset operations and build innovative businesses on the blockchain. He is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Fireblocks platform and ensuring the highest standards of security for all Fireblocks customers. This includes providing customers with strong security mechanisms to prevent and detect attacks effectively, as part of their day-to-day operations. With more than 15 years’ experience in cybersecurity R&D and Product Management, Shahar was previously VP of Products at Paragon, a mobile security company. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Unit 8200 of the Israeli Military Intelligence as Director of Security Research, eventually founding and leading a team of 25 security researchers in cutting-edge cybersecurity research. Before joining the army, Shahar was a hobbyist developer and tinkerer, building, breaking, and studying code since he was 10 years old. Shahar holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
