Ryan Lackey has been a cypherpunk and involved in the computer security and crypto industry for 30+ years. From an early gold-backed Chaumian token project in Anguilla, to HavenCo on Sealand, the world's first offshore datahaven, to bootstrapping a defense contractor in a war zone, he was deeply involved in the pre-Bitcoin cypherpunk world. Since Bitcoin, he founded a YC-backed secure virtualization startup which was sold to Cloudflare, did product security at Cloudflare for a few years, another startup, and then joined a top-10 crypto foundation as CSO and board member. He lives in San Juan, PR and is currently Chief Security Officer of Evertas Insurance, the world's first crypto insurance company.
