Ranvir Rana is the co-founder of Witness chain, which he started in 2021. His fascination with the trustless and decentralization ethos of blockchains first emerged during the early stages of his PhD. His thesis work focused on solving the blockchain trilemma—creating a scalable, secure, and decentralized ledger. Leveraging his expertise, he now designs coordination platforms for decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePINs), aiming to achieve consensus on their physical state. Ranvir is passionate about expanding the trustless coordination ethos from digital assets to physical assets.
