Paul McCaffery joined KBW in 2002. His current role is Managing Director in Investment Banking, and also serves on the firm's Executive Committee. After 20+ years in equities, ultimately leading the division as Co-Head of Equities and Head of Alternative Capital, Paul followed his passion deeper into the FinTech and digital assets ecosystems. Paul’s primary responsibilities include strategic advisory for financial technology companies and leveraging his deep industry relationships to help in the origination and distribution of private and public capital markets offerings. Paul’s foray into crypto began in 2017 when he and a few colleagues raised over $100M of private capital to fund Silvergate’s transition into a bitcoin focused bank and buildout of the Silvergate Exchange Network (SEN).
