After first hearing about and trading bitcoin in the summer of 2011, I began to utilise physical bitcoins as my 'cold storage' solution back in March of 2013 with my first buys being Casascius coins direct from Mike Caldwell, and then at auction on the bitcointalk forum by him and some reputable resellers, including Charlie Lee, I was also a big fan of Bobby Lee's physicals which I bought directly from BTCC in Shanghai.

In the last few months I finally began realizing some of the gains on the physical bitcoins after holding them for over a decade and having sold all of my digital ones, first by peeling 75 Casascius BTC via a Ballet wallet, and then consigning 200 BTC worth of Casascius coins, slabbed by NGC for the first time, in Heritage auction's first crypto sale:

I still have the majority of my Casascius coins, and all of my BTCC ones, I am considering a Part Two sale from my Collection for later this year, either with Heritage again, and/or maybe with Stack's Bowers, these will be mostly Casascius 2011 coins which I had slabbed by ANACS between 2014 and 2016, perhaps almost the equivalent of old green slab labels in the crypto world.

In other background I was the largest holder of litecoin back in 2013 with 620,000 LTC approx, later the largest holder of DASH with about 500,000 DASH (and over 400 masternodes anyway), I also landed 210,000 ETH from the Ethereum ICO which I too precipitously flipped back into BTC way too soon.  

I was an initial seed investor in the Blockfolio App, and with Ed Moncada I brainstormed the original concept of DGBB, Decentralized Governance By Blockchain, for the DASH project.  

I've diversified hugely over the years and have more than two dozen properties around the world, an extensive art and collectables portfolio, plus I engage in various charitable ventures and sponsorships.
