Visionary investor and entrepreneur Lewis Bateman has led Spirit Blockchain Capital’s explosive growth since becoming Chief Executive Officer in 2022. In this role he serves as an industry leader, regulatory expert, and frequent speaker on the topics of blockchain and digital assets.


In recent years, Lewis has led or advised numerous capital markets and blockchain firms, including Helion Ventures, Kinetix, Coinchange, Acceleprise, Coinify, and Voyager. He also has led investment portfolios, including Sphere Asset Management, Whitetail Capital, and Bateman Capital.


Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, he began his career as an equity sales trader at Merrill Lynch before moving into ETF operations and business development at First Asset, Horizons Exchange, and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
