Josh is a solutions engineer at Celestia Labs, where he focuses on making it as easy to deploy a blockchain as it is a smart contract.

His journey to the blockchain world wasn't straightforward. After initially pursuing a mechanical engineering degree, he took a detour to the culinary world where he worked as a cook and manager in various restaurants. This sparked his interest in the farm-to-table supply chain and he decided to finish his degree- this time in Supply Chain Management and Analytics with a minor in Mathematics.

After school, he struggled to find his place in the traditional tech industry and stumbled upon the world of web3 and Developer DAO. This rediscovery of blockchains, outside of their financial use cases, led Josh to his first front-end development contract, teaching assistant role with buildspace, and his first “real” job as a developer advocate at Ankr before joining Celestia in 2022.
