Dean Sovolos is General Counsel and Global Head of Regulatory Affairs at B2C2, where he oversees the company’s legal function and manages regulatory engagements with supervisory authorities globally. Prior to joining B2C2, Mr. Sovolos served as a DOJ prosecutor in the Southern District of New York and District of New Jersey, where he prosecuted and investigated National Security cases involving U.S. sanctions evasion, terrorist finance/AML counterproliferation, national defense and state-sponsored cybercrime working alongside myriad U.S. and international agencies.
Mr. Sovolos was previously Associate Division Counsel for the FBI New York office, counseling FBI senior management in the Counterterrorism and Counterintelligence Divisions on Federal District Court and FISA Court filings and on FBI strategy on the disruption and prosecution of targets. Mr. Sovolos also served as an FBI Special Agent in extraterritorial terrorism matters and as Acting Assistant Legal Attaché at the U.S. Embassies in England and France. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree and Master of Science degree from Oxford University.
