Even before Jesse Powell paid her way into the Bitcoin 2013 Conference in San Jose, she has passionately sought to help the crypto community understand how state money transmitter licensure, securities, anti-money laundering and sanctions laws impact crypto – both the people and the assets. As both lawyer and CEO of Luminous Group and Comptegrity, she works with all types of business models and asset types across every layer of crypto to develop compliance strategies and minimize the risk of prosecution. She serves as director, advisor and mentor to multiple crypto and other tech ventures.
